"If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be a word without meaning."
-- C.S. Lewis
Tim grew up in Wisconsin as the youngest of three; his older sisters didn't harass him too much, except that he much preferred the outdoors over playing "school" or "house." An adventurous young lad, Tim's fondest memories growing up include taking family vacations to Disney World and the Florida beaches and going on fishing trips with Dad. But when Tim was only seven, tragedy struck his family when his dad died of a heart attack. Through this deep loss, however, Tim came to realize just how strong and supportive his family was.
Tim's family moved to a nearby small city where he made new friends, learned to play football and loved to swim at the city pool, where he later worked as a lifeguard. Tim's involvement in football and wrestling in junior high and high school taught him leadership and discipline and encouraged him to stay active throughout his adult years.
After high school, Tim graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2003, having majored in Sociology. He then went to Brazil, where he spent four months in the Amazon Rainforest with missionaries -- the first three in a Yanomami village and the last month at a boarding school for missionaries' kids.
Tim met Elizabeth, the love of his life, in November 2004, and he married her in December 2005! Tim loves his wife and married life. He is currently in his third and final year at Dallas Theological Seminary, where he is pursuing his Masters of Arts in Biblical Counseling. Through life experiences, Tim has developed a heart for people and enjoys helping them through their challenges. He desires to pursue a future in private practice and work with missionaries and their families as he is able.
Tim charges $55 (sliding scale rate available) for a 50 minute session.
