Mary Sanger, MA, LCDCI
After a long career in the hospitality industry Mary decided to use her talent for helping people in a more meaningful way. She began working on a volunteer basis with families and friends whose lives had been affected by chemical dependency. She then made the decision to return to school and obtained her Bachelor of the Arts in psychology and her Masters in Professional Counseling from Argosy University.
Mary worked for several years as a Chemical Dependency Counselor with Solutions Outpatient Services. She believes abuse and dependency problems affect the entire family system. In working with these cases, she works not just with the addict, but with the marriage and family as well.
Mary provides therapy for individuals, children, couples, and families affected by addiction, chemical abuse, or co-dependency. She provides chemical dependency assessments, consultation with family members, and ongoing therapy.
When Mary is not working, she enjoys hanging out with her husband, who is a Dallas native and practicing attorney. They have a dog, Spanky, who aspires one day to join Gunner in pet therapy. Mary enjoys entertaining, being outdoors, horseback riding, cooking, and reading. Mary is also a member of Dallas Junior Forum and volunteers regularly for Dallas Children's Advocacy Center, Bryan's House, and Ronald McDonald House.
