Harmony Moses, MA, LPC Intern
From the dusty Texas plains all the way to the big city, Harmony Moses has made the journey carrying loads of talent, strong values, and good old small-town common sense. After spending her childhood in the Texas panhandle, Harmony earned her Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the school of Brain and Behavioral Science at the University of Texas Dallas. She joined The LifeWorks Group in April 2007 as a practicum student while completing her Master’s degree at Argosy University. She loved her work at LifeWorks so much she decided to stay on full time (and we were lucky enough to snag her). Now licensed a professional counselor intern, she specializes in couples therapy, family work, women’s issues and divorce recovery. Harmony also has clinical experience working with inpatient populations, including dual diagnosis in children and adolescents. Her counseling style is compassionate and caring, but she is true to her panhandle roots – a straight shooter with a no nonsense style. In other words, she’ll hand you a box of Kleenexes and a fresh Dr. Pepper while she tells you exactly how it is.
Much of Harmony’s work focuses on women faced with the often-overwhelming task of being today’s woman –the perfect wife, mother and career woman whose own esteem, social life and physical health always seem to be on the backburner. But guys shouldn’t shy away from working with Harmony. Au contraire mon frčre! She can help men figure out their pattern of love and loss or just help them better relate to the woman they’re with (don’t forget about that straight-shooter part). And whether you’re a dude or a chick, if all of this has come just a little too late, Harmony can help you transition from the sink-hole of divorce into feeling like a real person who can see the sun again.
Still a panhandle girl at heart, Harmony now lives on the outskirts of Dallas with her Alaskan husband, two kids, two cats, a rescued squirrel, an American bulldog named Cash and anything else that lingers in her yard or needs a little help. She thoroughly enjoys motherhood and the adventure of the occasional family odyssey to the mountains. She and her family are always itching for snow skiing, snow boarding and making snowmen. With what little time is left, Harmony gets back to her favorite part of ranch life -- riding and caring for horses.
Harmony charges $85 for
