Cindy Gleason, Support Staff
A
native
of
Wichita
Falls,
TX,
Cindy
rounds
out
the
trio
of
west
Texas
girls
at
The
LifeWorks
Group
(check
Melanie's
and
Harmony's
bios).
Her
career
path
has
been
diverse:
she
co-owned
a
children's
shoe
store,
called
Footloose,
in
Snider
Plaza
-
for
8
years,
then
spent
12
years
as
Office
Manager
&
Community
Relations
Coordinator
for
Solutions
Outpatient
Services,
which
we
think
is
THE
best
outpatient
chemical
dependency
program
goin'
-
partially
because
of
Cindy's
hard
work
there!
In
an
unexpected
turn
on
the
career
trail,
Cindy
spent
a
year
and
a
half
as a
Petroleum
Landman,
researching
mineral
ownership
for
oil
&
gas
leases.
The
work
was
challenging,
interesting
and
very
rewarding!
After
oil
prices
dropped
(which
was
great
for
gas
prices,
not
great
for
the
environment,
and
really
lousy
for
Cindy),
she
was
laid
off
of
her
crew
of
50
folks,
which
is
when
we
snagged
her
to
work
with
The
LifeWorks
Group.
Cindy
became
interested
in
the
mental
health
field
through
dealing
with
the
chemical
dependency
issues
of
one
of
her
sons.
She
is
great
at
encouraging,
planning
&
organizing,
but
(she
admits)
lousy
at
creative
endeavors.
Cindy
will
tell
you
she's
an
Indian,
not
a
chief.
But
we
think
she's
really
a
wrangler,
because
she
keeps
all
the
creative
types
at
The
LifeWorks
Group
(unfortunately,
almost
the
entire
LWG
staff
fall
into
this
category)
functioning
in
reasonably
straight
lines
and
makes
sure
we
have
paper
clips
and
postage
stamps.
"I
dig
LifeWorks
because
I
enjoy
&
appreciate
the
team
approach,
find
the
positive
energy
inspiring,
and
love
being
a
part
of
it!
My
joy
is
to
create
a
marketing,
referral,
and
administrative
systems
so
that
the
counselors
can
spend
their
time
counseling
and
the
clients
get
everything
they
need."
