Chris Jones, LPC
Young Professional and Adolescent Specialist
"It's a topsy-turvy world, and maybe the problems of two people don't amount to a hill of beans. But this is our hill. And these are our beans!" –Frank, The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!, 1988.
Chris grew up in a small town south of the metroplex. Years later he has managed to remain close to his small town roots and relaxed living which now includes a wife and two children.
Chris received his Bachelors and Masters Degree in psychology from Baylor University. After graduating, Chris worked in area hospitals and outreach centers. In 1997, Chris co-founded Adventures In Achievement, Inc. Chris directed company growth as its ROPES course and experiential workshops became a major provider to student leadership programs and at-risk youth. During the year of 2006, his efforts merged with Excelleration, LLC to become a leader of strategic team development for corporations.
Chris offers individual, family, marriage and group specialty counseling. Working both ends of the spectrum, he can improve organizational team functioning, reduce the stress and dissatisfaction of the people who populate them, and assist young professionals in their adjustment to success.
When working with adolescents, Chris continues to think team. He enlists family and friends with the most positive influence on the adolescent to get involved and stay involved. This includes teens struggling with adjustment to change, anxiety, depression, opposition, defiance, substance abuse, sexual abuse and ADHD.
He also works with persons on probation or parole, and those with more severe issues such as major depression, bipolar disorder, and histories of abuse.
And if you can't find Chris in the office or on the ROPES course he is likely off running a marathon, cycling or keeping a seat warm at Texas Motor Speedway.
