Blake was born and raised in west Texas, Odessa, to be exact, though he never really felt at home there. A creative, bookish, and shy child, he did not fit in well with the radically football-minded folks in his hometown. He escaped after high school, and eventually graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a terribly useful degree in Drama.

After 25 years as an executive in advertising and marketing, a half-dozen terrible bosses, and two layoffs, Blake decided to make a mid-life career change. After a lifetime of yearning to help others, he chose to pursue his Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Amberton University. Having completed all of his course work, he will graduate in the summer of 2010.

Issues near and dear to Blake’s heart include: relationship issues, career direction, mid-life crisis, and alternative life styles.

Blake charges $85 for a 50 minute session.
