Amy Porras, Masters-level Intern

Amy is from beautiful El Paso, Texas. After completing high school, she went on to pursue her passion for fashion, graduating from the University of North Texas with degrees in Fashion Merchandising and Business. It only made sense that she then move to New York City, so she accepted an internship with a premiere fashion company. Unfortunately, over the next 3 years her love for the Big Apple and fashion turned gray. Amy realized her childhood dream was not fulfilling in her adult life. After much soul searching, she decided she could be doing more than picking the perfect shade of green for sweaters. She made the choice to get back home to Texas and begin work on her Community Counseling degree at Argosy University. She has now finished all of her classes and is currently a LifeWorks Group student intern. She is expected to graduate summer of 2010.
